Common questions

Good to know before you visit

Quick answers about our NHS and private services. If your question is not here, our team is happy to help.

Call the pharmacy
Do I need an appointment for Pharmacy First?

No. You can walk in and ask to see the pharmacist, or book a time online if you prefer. Your GP practice or NHS 111 can also refer you to us.

Can I order my repeat prescriptions through you?

Yes. Nominate Rumsey Pharmacy and we will request, collect and prepare your NHS repeat items, then let you know when they are ready.

Do you deliver prescriptions?

Yes, we offer a prescription delivery service for local patients. Ask in the pharmacy or call us to arrange it.

How much do private services cost?

Prices are shown on each service page before you book, so you always know the cost up front. NHS services such as Pharmacy First are free, with standard prescription charges where they apply.

Is there somewhere private to talk?

Yes. We have a private consultation room, and you can ask to speak to the pharmacist there at any time.

Can I bring my child to see the pharmacist?

Yes. Several Pharmacy First conditions, such as earache and impetigo, can be treated in children. Age limits apply, and we will advise you if your child needs to see the GP.
